March

VITF Program Debriefing and Project Presentation Day

to be held at 2 Treasury Place

Background to the Projects

The Victorian International Teaching Fellowship (VITF) Program is an exchange program for Victorian teachers and school leaders. The Program contributes to the professional learning of Victorian teachers and school leaders and enables the contributions of overseas and returning Victorian teachers to be integrated into our schools.

VITF Program participants are required to complete a professional learning program focusing on practices and pedagogies which they can then adapt in Victorian schools. During their yearlong oversea placement Fellows undertake an action research or investigation that is relevant to their school.

Fellows are supported through this professional learning by IED staff who provide a framework within which to focus and reflect on their professional experiences. The learnings from this research provide information on effective overseas initiatives and practices which may be considered for use in Victoria.

The program also provides the individual teacher with the opportunity to explore an area of educational interest, to enhance their professional development.

The program includes an agenda for the day, presentation schedule and synopsis of the research projects that will be presented on the day.
